Our Story
Born from a Simple Idea: Style + Practical Winter Grip
Almost 20 years ago, our parent company, Four Corners UK, saw an opportunity. Years of experience operating in the Outdoor market; visiting trade shows, talking to retailers, and listening to customers, led them to identify a clear gap in winter footwear:
What they found was stylish, everyday boots that looked the part but struggled when pavements turned icy; or technical, outdoorsy options that gripped well but felt too bulky or impractical for daily life.
What was missing became obvious: a warm, good‑looking winter boot you’d actually want to wear every day — with serious, on‑demand traction for icy winter weather.
Finding the missing piece
That missing piece revealed itself in Italy. We came across OCSystem® — an internationally patented, retractable ice‑grip built directly into the outsole during manufacture. No add‑ons. No straps. Just a neat flip mechanism that brings out stainless‑steel studs when conditions demand it, and retracts them for normal pavements and indoor surfaces.
